Overview
To support safe and consistent traffic control practices on provincial roads, the Work Area Traffic Control Manual (WATCM) and related training resources provide guidance for managing work zones effectively.
The manual establishes standardized requirements for work zone setups to protect both workers and motorists. Training for traffic control persons and traffic control agents ensures workers have the knowledge and skills needed to apply the WATCM effectively.
WATCM Traffic Control Agent Training
This training is a full-day course designed for individuals who will be responsible for the work area traffic control plans on provincial roads. It offers comprehensive instruction on traffic control planning, signage placement, safety protocols and regulatory compliance to support proper implementation of the manual.
