Overview
A free water taxi service will be operated by the Department of Transportation. The vessel is a 10-passenger pontoon with bike racks on the front. Service begins June 9 and will continue through the summer. The last day for service in 2026 will be October 30.
The service will operate 7 days a week from 7AM to 7PM, depending on the weather, between Station Wharf Marina and Miramichi Boat and Yacht Club (MBYC).
The service is being provided to supplement the existing transit system while the Centennial Bridge is closed for rehabilitation. A transit stop is planned to be added by the City of Miramichi in the area of the Miramichi Boat and Yacht Club.
