Overview
Academic upgrading courses or personal learning programs provide training opportunities to those 18 or older. These free programs are available in English and French in communities around the province. Programs are administered through a partnership with the Community Adult Learning Programs.
Programs
Academic upgrading courses and personal learning programs provide training to help participants improve their literacy skills. Training is available at any time during the program year.
The program features an individualized, learner-centered approach based on the individual and curriculum assessment. Hours of training per week can vary depending on individual needs and circumstances. Each program has access to one or more computers.
Participants may use this training to go on to attain their Canadian Adult Education Credential diploma or to meet a personal learning goal.
Programs include (in both French and English):
- Math at Level 1 or Level 2 Courses
- English/French at Level 1 or 2 Courses
- CAEC Preparation Courses
