• Improved relationship management with Skilled Trades NB core clients like apprentices, applicants seeking credentialling, journeypersons and employers.
• Improved process management and efficiency gains by Skilled Trades NB through digitizing paper processes.
• Apprentices will have real time access to their profiles and be able to update details easily online.
• Apprentices will be able to contact Skilled Trades NB training officers for direct assistance through the AMS Portal.
• Apprentices will be able to see upcoming educational offerings and register as they qualify for the education.
• Apprentices and other credential applicants will be able to pay fees via an online payment feature.
• Applicants for credentials to work in their industry area will be able to submit an application via AMS portal in the same way as apprentices.
• Employers and journeypersons will be able to easily record hours for the apprentices working in their organizations.
• Employers will be able to manage and update details in real time in one spot, whether for one apprentice or multiple apprentices.

In preparation for the launch of our new self-serve portal in early 2026, we’re hosting a series of information sessions help employers prepare to transition to the new online Apprenticeship Management System (AMS).

In July 2025, we held two online sessions that included an overview of what’s changing, when and why, a virtual demonstration, key transition details, and a live Q&A. A summary of those sessions was emailed to all employers with active apprentices.

To ensure continued awareness and provide updates, we’re offering three more information sessions in November — December 2025. These sessions will offer a quick recap of the changes, revised timelines, updated transition details, and another opportunity to ask questions.

All three information sessions are identical and open to all interested stakeholders. Please mark your calendar for one of the date and time options below:
