Education plan (Francophone sector)

A collective vision on Francophone education in New Brunswick.

Overview

In the fall of 2025, an extensive consultation process mobilized New Brunswick’s Acadian and Francophone educational community. The participation of students, parents, educational staff, key partners and the general public provided the opportunity for collective reflection on the future of the education system. This mobilization testifies to a deep attachment to Acadian and Francophone education and a shared desire to adapt it to current and future realities.

The next education plan is currently being drafted and will be published before the end of the 2025–2026 school year.

Consultation report : Ce que nous avons entendu

The report : Ce que nous avons entendu [what we heard] report aims to provide an accurate and transparent summary of the voices heard enlever the consultations. It is neither an action plan nor a decision process in itself, but a necessary basis for informing future choices.

The results of these consultations will be used to develop the next education plan for the Acadian and Francophone education system. The resulting objectives will need to build on existing frameworks, evidence and government priorities, while taking into account actual system capabilities and the need for progressive, consistent and sustainable deployment.

The next steps will therefore involve translating these findings into clear objectives and actions that prioritize an equitable, long-term impact on learners, educators, and New Brunswick’s Acadian and Francophone community as a whole.
