Leveraging technology plan

The Leveraging Technology Plan supports educators in using digital tools to enhance learning and equity.

Overview

The Leveraging Technology Plan is aligned with New Brunswick’s educational priorities and sets out a vision to prepare students and educators for success in a rapidly changing digital world. The plan focuses on three main goals:

  • Digital literacy: Building skills for all students and educators, based on the New Brunswick Digital Literacy Framework.
  • Technology integration: Using technology naturally in teaching and learning.
  • Personalized solutions: Supporting individual needs and making the best use of classroom time.

Together, these priorities ensure technology enhances learning, fosters creativity and problem-solving and helps every learner reach their full potential.

Expectations for teaching and learning

Learning with technology changes how we think about teaching and education. All educators, including support staff, need equal access to training opportunities in technology to support these transitions.

Thoughtful integration of technology into learning can spark creativity, problem-solving and real-world learning. Generative AI also adds new opportunities by changing how we teach and learn. It is already shaping everyday life and will continue to grow.  Learn more about the provincial government’s Recommended Approaches to Generative AI (PDF 638 KB).
