Overview
International students who wish to attend a public school in New Brunswick are required to pay a tuition fee. This fee is set annually by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and helps cover the cost of education for non-resident students.
Students attending for more than one semester will be charged the full annual tuition fee. Those attending for one semester or less will be charged a prorated fee of one semester.
A non-refundable administration fee is required at the time of application. If the school district offers an orientation program, an additional orientation fee may apply.
Eligibility
Students who are school-aged, have not yet graduated from high school, and live in New Brunswick are entitled to free public education under the Education Act. Those who do not meet these criteria may be required to pay international student tuition fees.
