Leasing Crown land for agricultural purposes other than blueberry production

The provincial government allows the leasing of Crown land for agricultural purposes, under certain terms and conditions.

Overview

An application may be made on forms available from any office of the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries. 

Applications must include:

  • a map or aerial photo showing the location of the subject property
  • a site development strategy which outlines a plan, including timeframes, for the intended development of the site

Applicants should apply for only those lands which are required for agricultural purposes and are encouraged to contact the nearest department office for assistance in completing their applications.

Unless otherwise specified, Fees exclude the harmonized sales tax (HST).
