Overview
A property tax certificate is a legal and binding document. It includes the property owner, a description, any taxes owed, recent tax sales, and any property tax liens. It is often used for legal, financial, or ownership verification.
What it is
You can request a property tax certificate to get:
- The total property taxes and penalties owed as of the issue date.
- Details about the property’s assessed owner, description, and account number.
- Disclosure of any tax liens attached to the property.
These certificates are legal documents often used for financial, or ownership verification.
You can request certificates for up to 10 property accounts per order.

- Legal or financial professionals
How much it costs
The cost depends on how you request your certificate(s):

Before you order
To place an order, you’ll need:
- The Property Account Number (PAN) for each property
- A credit card (for online orders)
After you order
In most cases, the certificate will be emailed immediately after payment is completed.
If further review is needed, most tax certificates will be emailed within one business day, or you will be contacted.
