Overview
If your property tax account has a credit balance due to an adjustment or payment, you can request a refund or transfer the credit to another property tax account.
Who can apply
- Property owners whose accounts have a credit balance
- Representatives of property owners
Before you apply
You will need:
- Property account number (PAN) and security code from your tax notice
- Address for the refund, if applicable
If you paid your property tax at a Service New Brunswick location, you will need to include proof of payment.
If the property has sold or changed ownership, you will need to include the Statement of Adjustments.
After you apply
Once your application is submitted your request will be processed.
Credits will either be refunded or transferred based on your application.
Refunds of $50.00 or less will not be issued and will remain in your account as a credit for future taxes.
