Overview
Immigration New Brunswick uses a candidate pool system to manage applications under the program. Both the employer and the candidate must complete their part of the application. Once done, the endorsement application goes into the Atlantic Immigration Program candidate pool.
Immigration New Brunswick selects applications from this pool based on market needs and other priorities.
Applications that are not selected will expire after 365 days. If this happens, the designated employer and candidate can submit a new endorsement application.

Guides
How to update an application
To make changes to an application in the Atlantic Immigration Program candidate pool, the candidate must:
- withdraw the application using the NB-011-AIP Withdrawal of Endorsement Application or Certificate (PDF 350 KB) form
- submit a new one with the appropriate changes
Endorsement applications are not selected on a first come, first served basis. Withdrawing and resubmitting an endorsement application does not place you at the back of the queue.
If the application has been selected for processing, use the NB-003-AIP Endorsement Application Updates (PDF 380 KB) form instead.
Multiple expressions of interest or applications
An INB profile can have only one active expression of interest or application.
If you want to submit an endorsement application to the Atlantic Immigration Program candidate pool and submit an expression of interest to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program candidate pool, you must create a separate INB profile using a different email address for each program.
You can only have one active application with Immigration New Brunswick. This means you can be in both pools, but you can only move forward with one of them.
If you receive an invitation to apply for a New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program stream, you must withdraw all your other submissions.
If your Atlantic Immigration Program endorsement application is selected for processing, you must withdraw all your expressions of interest.
If you receive an invitation to apply for a New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program stream and your Atlantic Immigration Program endorsement application is selected for processing, you must choose only one and withdraw the other.
If you submit more than one active application, all of them could be refused.
Endorsement application selection
Endorsement applications submitted are placed in the Atlantic Immigration Program candidate pool, where they remain valid for 365 days from the date of submission.
Immigration New Brunswick selects applications from this pool for processing based on provincial labour market needs, available allocation and other priorities determined by the Government of New Brunswick.
Endorsement application selections are subject to scheduled draws. Applying does not guarantee that it will be processed or that the job offer and the candidate will receive an endorsement.
