Endorsement application – Candidate pool system introduced
Effective February 3, 2026
Due to reductions across Canada’s immigration system, New Brunswick is implementing a candidate pool system for endorsement applications under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). This allows for better management of our application inventory and for improved responsiveness to the provincial labour market needs.
What you need to know
- designated employers and their candidates can continue to submit endorsement applications
- these new applications will be placed in a pool
- applications in the pool will be selected monthly for processing
- selections will be based on provincial priorities, not on a first-come, first-served basis
- applications not selected will expire after 365 days
If an application expires without being selected
- it will be removed from the pool
- a new and complete endorsement application would be required for further consideration
