Overview
The program offers one-on-one guidance to develop a plan tailored to your needs.
It is open to New Brunswickers, 19 to 64, who have a long-term disability and who need help to support themselves either personally or to participate in the community.
The program support can include:
- personal support and assistance in and outside the home
- respite care
- support for community involvement and participation
- personal living skills training
- disability-specific transportation support
- technical support and devices that are met through policy guidelines
- residential facility services
- Meals on Wheels
- Employment and Support Services Program
The program does not cover support and services offered by other government programs.
Your income will be considered in determining your financial contribution. A financial assessment to determine your contribution toward the cost of approved disability supports will be completed.
Application process
There are three main ways to start the application process:
- by yourself or with help from family or friends
- with help from staff at the Department of Social Development or a community agency
- with help from an independent facilitator from Inclusion NB
