- Age-Friendly Committee established on December 2017.
- Resolution passed by council in January 2018.
2018:
- Mandate established: January 2018.
- Draft Survey developed and approved: February 2018.
- Public Notice mailed to citizens of Nackawic and Area: March 2018.
- Surveys circulated: April and May, 2018.
- Surveys collected: June, 2018.
- Surveys tabulated: July, August and September, 2018.
- Report to Council compiled, adjusted and approved by AFC committee, November, 2018.
- Action Plan developed and approved by AFC Committee, December, 2018.
2019:
- Report and action Plan presented to Council: January 2019.
- Action Plan detailed and responsibilities assigned: February 2019.
- Ambassadors from Millville, Pokiok, Bear Island, Dumfries, and Temperance Vale were added to the committee.
- Action Plan reviewed and updated at monthly committee meetings.
- Senior Housing Forum hosted by Nackawic and Area Age-Friendly Committee (in partnership with Town of Nackawic): November 21, 2019.
2020:
- Application for Age-Friendly Recognition completed and submitted: January 2020.
