New Brunswick Immunization Program Guide (NBIPG)

The New Brunswick Immunization Program Guide provides direction to all health-care professionals who provide publicly funded vaccines.

Overview

The New Brunswick Immunization Program provides vaccines through routine, high risk and communicable disease response programs. Competent immunization providers are the cornerstone of the Immunization Program.

The New Brunswick Immunization Program Guide outlines legislation, policies and standards necessary in the provision of safe, effective and competent immunization practice. The guide is intended to be used in conjunction with the New Brunswick Respiratory Season Guide and the Canadian Immunization Guide. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization also provides recommendations and vaccination guidance.

    This introduction outlines the intended use of the NBIPG, an overview of the immunization program, roles and responsibilities of key partners, related legislation, and reporting requirements for administered vaccines.
