Overview
Stepped Care is an evidence-based model for organizing and delivering services for addictions and mental health, with the goal of improving access to services and navigating within the system. It includes a range of low-to-high intensity support and services, from self-directed online resources to community-based programs to open access brief therapy to specialized and long-term treatment services.
Therapeutic services are provided by the Addiction and Mental Health services of the Vitalité and Horizon Health Networks. They emphasize a recovery-oriented approach where people living with substance use problems and mental illness are supported through their wellbeing journey.
The Community Addictions and Mental Health Centres provide children, youth and adults with outpatient individual and group counselling and specialized treatments. Contact your local centre for more information.
