Condoms
Condoms are the only contraception method that helps reduce the risk of both pregnancy and many STBBIs. Using condoms correctly every time you have sex (oral, vaginal or anal) can lower your risk of getting or passing an STBBI and can prevent unplanned pregnancy.
External condoms
The external condom is a sheath made from polyurethane, latex or polyisoprene that covers the penis during sex. There are many types and brands available.
Internal condoms

Because there are different options that may be available to you, you should discuss these options with a health-care provider at one of these locations/sources:
- pharmacy
- primary care providers
