The burn ban remains in place as many areas of the province remain very dry leading to the possibility of wildfires. Rain is forecast but it will take several consecutive days of significant rainfall to reduce wildfire risk.
The Department of Natural Resources will continue to monitor wildfire activity.

Evacuation advisory - People living on Highway 117 from Black River Bridge up to and including Little Branch should be prepared to evacuate on 24 hours' notice.
A wildfire (#300 on the Fire Watch dashboard) poses a potential threat to people and property.
The evacuation advisory for fire 295 - Peatmoss Piles (Daigle Road) remains in place. People living within two kilometres of 200 Daigle Road near Pointe-Sapin should be prepared to evacuate on short notice.
Review your evacuation plan. Make sure your emergency preparedness kit is ready.
An Evacuation Alert will be issued if you need to leave. If that happens, an Alert Ready message will be issued with instructions.

208-Old Field Road is now classified as contained, which indicates the fire is surrounded by barriers like bulldozer breaks or hose lines, which are expected to keep it from spreading further if firefighting efforts continue. However, fire is still actively burning on some or all edges, and it could potentially jump or spread.
