Staying safe

With any regularly occurring illness such as pertussis, influenza (flu) or measles, the best way to protect yourself and others is by being vaccinated. Appointments for immunization can be booked through the provincial scheduler.

If you think you may be sick, stay home and contact Tele-Care by dialing 811. Their 24-hour support team of nurses and nurse practitioners can determine if you need to seek care or manage at home.

During flu season or when an outbreak occurs, be sure to wash your hands regularly and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
