Video exchange licence
Overview
A video exchange licence authorizes businesses to rent or sell videos, DVDs and video games to the public.
The two categories of video exchange licenses are based on the number of titles available for purchase or rent, not on the number of copies of the same title available:

All videofilm and video games must be obtained through a distributor licensed in New Brunswick.
Eligibility
To obtain a video exchange licence, businesses must submit a completed application and pay the applicable fees.
Fees
Video exchange (between June 1 and November 30), if the video exchange carries
- Less than 300 videofilm and/or video games titles in inventory - $50
- 300 or more videofilm and/or video game titles in inventory - $200
Video exchange (between December 1 and May 31), if the video exchange carries
- Less than 300 videofilm and/or video games titles in inventory - $25
