This document has been developed for the purpose of establishing design and construction for firearm shooting ranges in the Province of New Brunswick, in accordance with the Firearms Act (Canada) and associated regulations.
Shooting ranges are places where people may safely participate in and view recreational shooting, competition shooting, skill development and training with firearms and associated equipment. To provide a safe area to participate in shooting activities, an integrated approach for safety on shooting ranges is incorporated into these standards. The integrated approach includes consideration of design, construction, approval, operation, and maintenance of shooting ranges in New Brunswick.
