Overview

Medical gas licences authorize the holder to work on medical gas piping systems. 

Eligibility

To obtain a Class F Medical Gas Installer Compressed Gas Licence, applicants must hold a certificate of qualification in the plumbing, steamfitter-pipefitter or welding trade or have experience in servicing medical gas piping systems which is satisfactory to the Gas Board. Applicants must also successfully pass a brazier performance qualification test in accordance with a registered brazing procedure. 

This licence authorizes the holder to install, service and repair medical gas piping systems in accordance with registered procedures. 

To obtain a Class G Medical Gas Verifier Compressed Gas Licence, applicants must hold a Class F Medical Gas Licence for at least one (1) year and must successfully complete a training program and examination which is acceptable to the Gas Board. 

This licence authorizes the holder to verify medical gas piping systems in accordance with an inspection and test plan, subject to an audit by a gas inspector.
