Inclusive Community Recreation Infrastructure Fund (ICRIF)

Support improvements to facilities to increase inclusion and access in recreation and sport activity for populations that face constraints to participation.

Please be advised that there will be four intake dates for regional funding applications submitted to the Sport and Recreation Branch. Funding will be processed to applicants three to four weeks after these dates.

Intake dates:

  • May 30
  • August 30
  • November 30
  • February 28

Level of funding

Assistance is based on need and the fund will support up to 75% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $10,000.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • community recreation/sport non-profit organizations who have the responsibility and mandate for the provision of recreation and sport activity
  • First Nation communities
  • municipalities

Ineligible applicants include:

  • private or for-profit entities
  • provincially or federally owned infrastructure
  • religious, educational or political organizations
