Objectives
The Regional Grant Programs are designed to support organizations that have a mandate in sport and recreation. Support can be annual, through the Regional Profile Grant, or project based, through the Regional Project Grant.
The Regional Profile Grant supports organizations that anticipate an annual financial need. This funding, available throughout the season, focuses on three main areas of development:
- organizational development
- leadership development
- athlete development
The Regional Project Grant intends on supporting organizations to put together an initiative that will help the organization in one or multiple areas of development listed above. The initiative should have a defined timeline, as well as a budget that demonstrates a financial need.
Additionally, the Regional Grant Programs can also provide financial assistance to Games Hosting for organizations that organize events in a multi-sport Games-like environment. Single sport tournaments or competitions are not eligible.
Level of funding
The maximum funding is $5,000 per project, per year.
Eligibility
The following groups are eligible to apply:
- municipalities
- not-for-profit organizations with a sport & recreation mandate
